Phillip L. Wylie, CISSP, GWAPT, OSCP

Phillip Wylie is a information security engineer specializing in profile_picpenetration testing (aka ethical hacking). Phillip has 20 years of Information Technology (IT) and Information Security (InfoSec) experience. Phillip started his IT career in 1997 as a system administrator supporting diverse environments  consisting of the following servers; Microsoft Windows Server, Novell NetWare Server, Linux. Phillip supported technologies such as; directory services (Active Directory and Novell Directory Services), Citrix, clustered and load balanced servers, DNS, DHCP, SAN and NAS storage. In 2004 Phillip moved into InfoSec. Phillip spent his first year and a half of his InfoSec career in network security supporting firewalls, network and host based Intrusion Detection Device’s (IDS). He also conducted server vulnerability scans. In September 2005, Phillip moved in to Application Security (AppSec). This career moved laid the foundation for his current role consulting as a penetration tester.

Phillip has experience with the following types of penetration tests:

  • Mobile web application
  • Network and wireless network
  • Telephony including VoIP and war dialing

  • CISSP – Certified Information Systems Security Professional
  • GWAPT – GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester
