Offensive Security Expert, Author and Podcaster

I am Phillip Wylie, an offensive security professional with over 20 years of industry experience. I am a former Dallas College Adjunct Instructor. I have a diverse background with experience in multiple cybersecurity disciplines, including network security, application security, and pentesting. As an offensive security professional with over a decade of experience, I have conducted pentests of networks, Wi-Fi networks, and applications and performed red team operations and social engineering.

In addition to my speaking engagements, I conduct hands-on workshops focused on penetration testing. My training sessions offer valuable insights and practical skills, making complex concepts accessible to professionals looking to enhance their expertise. My educator background includes teaching as an adjunct instructor at Dallas College for over 3.5 years, teaching pentesting and web app pentesting. My experience also includes teaching offensive security for education providers INE and P3F.

I’m also an accomplished author and podcaster. I am the concept creator and coauthor of The Pentester Blueprint: Starting a Career As An Ethical Hacker, based on my conference talk and college lecture. I am a former cohost of The Uncommon Journey podcast and previous host of the SANS Difference Maker Award-winning The Hacker Factory podcast. My current podcast is The Phillip Wylie Show I interview guests about their origin stories, career, and advice on cybersecurity and cybersecurity careers.
